Build pinter75's Robots at www.botbuilder.co.uk
Overview
This is my hacked BBC Buggy. An educational robot dating back to the 1980's widely used in UK Schools made by the Microelectronics in Education Programme. I have fond memories of using these when I was in secondary school. I am always on the look out for these and other vintage UK educational robots, buggies, turtles and arms. If you know where there are some hiding in cupboards, please let me know.

In order to get the buggy roving about on it's own with out it's original umbilical cable, I decided to use my Bot Board, as it was already suited for the purpose. Using original FischerTechnic parts I added a battery bay. Replaced the original steppers with some 360 degree servos. Made up a top board out of foam board and sprayed it red. That's it, the buggy can rove about without any cables to tangle.

It won't stay like this for long, as I want to get the original BBC Micro version working, if you have any bits and bobs that will help me do this, mail me.
